Take control of your renovation projects with Zynka for increased efficiency and improved profitability.
OVERVIEW
Renovation projects can be complex, time-consuming, and costly – we know. Incomplete documentation of existing buildings can lead to errors and misunderstandings during both design and production, which can result in delays and increased costs.
At Zynka, we can help you overcome these challenges by ensuring digital precision in your operations, enabling better decision-making in your renovation projects. Through 3D scanning, the creation of accurate documentation, and our platform Digital Buildings, we offer more precise data, streamlined workflows, improved communication, and significant time and cost savings. All to ensure your project achieves the best possible outcome.
FEATURES
Digital Buildings offers a range of features that transform and simplify how you interact with buildings and construction projects.
Digital site visits reduce travel and avoid delays by allowing you to explore the building directly in your browser.
Take accurate measurements directly in the point cloud without needing advanced software.
Place geotagged points of interest and add information in the form of text, files, or links that everyone in the project can access.
Use points of interest to systematically map and categorize items for your reuse inventory.
Crop and download portions of the point cloud in various file formats for use in other software.
Organize digital meetings for design and construction to review the same information together.
Give all stakeholders access to digitally survey the building, for example, during bidding processes.
OUR SOLUTION
Before execution, Zynka helps coordinate the scanning to make it as time-efficient as possible while minimizing disruptions for tenants and operations. We have experience with all types of buildings, from industrial structures and residential buildings to office spaces and high-security facilities.
We process and refine raw data to create a more accurate and usable point cloud. This process includes noise reduction, correcting measurement errors, and merging multiple scans into a cohesive whole. Our unique anonymization script also blurs faces, people, and license plates to ensure everything remains anonymous.
The point cloud is delivered to the project in the desired format.
The finished point cloud and panoramic images from the scan are published together on the Digital Buildings platform. You can then visit the building digitally via the browser and invite an unlimited number of users to access the data.
We create validated 3D models of the building and its components based on the point cloud and panoramic images – fully customized to your needs and requirements. It is a digital 3D representation of reality, with millimeter precision, that can be further developed as the project progresses.

BENEFITS
In Digital Buildings, all scanned data (panoramic images and point clouds) is published and made accessible to the project team.
Everyone in the project can rely on the accuracy of the documentation, eliminating guesswork, errors, and misunderstandings. With precise measurements down to the millimeter level, this serves as a reliable basis for as-built drawings or design documentation, ensuring accurate construction plans for the building phase.
Through models and Digital Buildings, all project disciplines and stakeholders can share and gain a common understanding of the project’s details and scope.
By identifying potential issues early and improving planning, 3D scanning can help reduce costs associated with rework, delays, and incorrect orders.
3D scanning quickly gathers comprehensive data on building structures, reducing the time that would otherwise be needed for manual measurements and inspections.
Fewer site visits, better reuse management, and reduced errors and waste contribute to better sustainability practices in the project.
FAQ
What is 3D scanning?
3D scanning is a time- and cost-efficient method for accurately capturing existing geometry. The scanner is equipped with a 360° camera and lidar laser that scans the surroundings and produces:
What is 3D scanning used for?
The point cloud and its accurate measurements are used as a basis for modeling work. At Zynka, we can create accurate as-built documentation or design drawings. The project can also use the point cloud to compare and adjust existing documents and models.
The scanned data is also published in Digital Buildings and made accessible to the project team via a web browser.
What hardware do you use for 3D scanning?
We use the Navvis VLX, the most time-efficient laser scanner, equipped with a 360° camera and lidar laser. For external scanning, we use a drone scanner to capture roofs, tall facades, and large areas.
